Test Center of College English Test-Spoken English Test

 Recently, according to the notification of Hubei Municipal Examinations Authority on the approval of the establishment of test center of College English Test-Spoken English Test for South-Central University for Nationalities and Wuhan Huaxia University of Technology (Hubei test district) (Hubei Comprehensive Test〔2019〕No. 3) , our school has been approved to set up a test center of College English Test-Spoken English Test national college (CET-SET), and the center code is 420980. Our school will begin to accept examinees to register for the test start from the first half of 2019. Our school has become one of the few CET-SET test centers among the whole province. 

The establishment of the test center has met the students’ needs to take the oral examination, which will help to promoting the reform of college English teaching. In this way, our school will gradually improve the proportion of oral application in the college English teaching and evaluation, thus enhance our students ' listening and speaking abilities. 

       According to Li Cai, Assistant Principal and Dean of Educational Administration, the experts of the Provincial Education Examination Institute visited the school in the earlier stage, and highly appreciate the supporting setting and long-term work of our university as the CET-4 and CET-6 test center. The establishment of test center indicates that our university’s hardware facilities of the network-based examination and capability of organizing the test has met the requirements of oral examination. We will take this opportunity to improve CET evaluation system, intensify the reform of college English teaching, promote learning and teaching by examinations, and continuously improve the quality of college English teaching, so as to lay a solid foundation to promote the internationalization development of our university.
